I am looking for information about Oswell/Oswald Durham (1832-?) who married Elizabeth J. Tandy (1835-1915?)in Taylor County, Kentucky. His parents were Joel C. and Lucretia (Brockman) Durham; his grandparents were James and Martha (Compton) Durham.
What I would like to know is what on earth happened to Oswell/Oswald and Elizabeth (Tandy) Durham? I can find them in Taylor county, Kentucky in 1851 (when they were married); they are still there in 1853 as he is a witness on his wife's sister's marriage bond; in 1870 they are in Blue River Twp, Johnson County, Indiana (which is where his parents and several of his brothers moved to). After that they drop off of the face of the earth. I have searched census records with every known variation of his first name, with just a last name and birth range, with a wildcard, with just Elizabeth's name (in every variation) and yet I cannot find them anywhere. Does anyone have any clue as to his whereabouts???? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
