I am searching for the ancestors of Elizabeth Wilson MCKENZIE or MACKENZIE. All the info we have is she was born in 1778, married John DOTY. Had eight children in Brooke Co Virginia, now West Va. Had one daughter in Hamilton Co Ohio, had last child, a son in Johnson Co IN. She went by "Sally". Sally Doty Hill in Johnson Co IN is named after her. She died in Johnson Co, IN July 27, 1857 and is buried in Lowe Cemetery in Johnson Co.
Having said all that, we have no idea where she was or came from before her first child was born in Brooke CO VA (Wva) in 1800. Her husband John was born in Somerset, NJ.
She was 22 when their first child was born. Since we do not have a wedding date for them, there is a slim chance she was born Elizabeth WILSON and McKenzie was her first husband.
