Looking for info on early Presbyterian minister Samuel Alexander, b about 1802 KY. Also looking for his second wife, Dorcas Thompson, b 1811 IN, d 1883, Knox Co. Dorcas Thompson married Minard Smith, son of Daniel Smith, in 1838. Samuel and Dorcas wed in 1851. I believe Samuel Alexander was first married to Nancy Ann Scott, in 1829. Samuel Alexander took over the Pres. Church after Rev. Scott. I'm esp. interested in parents and siblings of Dorcas Thompson.
Other names in vicinity and of interest are Ann Mayhall, b 1838, and living with Dorcas and Samuel Alexander in 1860. Also Margaret G. Thompson, 1851, and especially Henry R. Thompson, b 1852 or so, both also living with Dorcas and Samuel in 1860.
