Did any of your Gilmore fam come from Ky possably Frankfort area? and did they end up in Jasper,Crawford or Lawrence counties in IL
I have a ggrt grandmother Lucinda Gilmore who married in may 1844 in Jasper co. to Edmund Davis,, thier names were messed up.They had his name as Edward and her last name they weren`t sure of the spelling. They had it as Gilmore/Gilemere
I found them first in the 1850 census in Crawford co.IL in the Palestine twp, and thier names are Edmund and Lucinda he was born 1824 in ky possably also Frankfortky area and it has her being born in 1827 in Indiana probably Knox co. as all thier children were. They were there in Crawford co in the 1870 census and moved to Lawrence co.Allison twp in time for that county census for 1870 and the last I found them was in 1880 with thier 2 youngest still home.
