I'm a bit confused by your message. Not sure what you're saying. Can you clarify? Thank you so much!

The Robert GILMORE in my family was born in Ireland in 1780, so he didn't fight in the Rev. War in America. My Robert GILMORE married Margaret BRADLEY in about 1819 (sources disagree on the year) in Rockbridge Co, VA. One of their children was Frances GILMORE, who married Henry EDWARDS and moved to Knox Co, Ind.

You mentioned the Census. The first US Census was in 1790.
