I was on the Ind. web site today and found some Gilmores and found a Robert whose fam came from Va and was wondering if there is a connection to your fam. and of course to mine also. I found out that Knox co Ind used to be part of Ky and some think that is what has been messinf up everyones researches. My ggrt Gramma Lucinda Gilmore was born in IND 1827 and in the census she says her parents were both born in Ky and my ggrt granpa Edmund Davis was born in 1824 in KY But when I looked in Ky all across where I was told by another cuz who is also doing our fam says he was born there but I havent found anything acrossthe whole top and middle counties of Ky so I was also told to look in Va But there are so MANY Davis fam I still haven`t found anything. I dont know who his parents are either or siblings.,etc.
