SAMUEL J.STAPE married MARY JONES July 9, 1867 in Kosciusko Co. They had 3 children. SARAH C., ALICE and WILLIAM. Don't know what happened to SARAH. SAMUEL was in the civil war and lived in the Old Soldiers Home in Lafayette, IN with his wife. She died there April 22, 1917. He died May 12, 1918 in Frankfort, IN at his son WILLIAM'S home. He was born Feb. 1840 in Ohio. I think MARY was married before SAMUEL and JONES may have been her first married name, she had other children. Her mother was MARY DURBAN (maiden name)from Ohio. Her father unknown from Virginia. MARY STAPE was born in Randolph Co. IN Jan.13, 1834.
If any one has information on this family I would love hearing from you. SAMUEL would be my great great grandfather.
