Hello, this is my first posting to this genforum. Just a few moments ago I found a death record for Emery C. Straub in LaGrange, LaGrange Co., IN.
EMERY C STRAUB 06 Feb 1898 16 Sep 1995 46761 (Lagrange, Lagrange, IN) (none specified) 318-12-6043 Illinois
I believe this was the first husband of Margarett/Marjorie V. Moore. They were located on the 1930 Quincy, Adams Co., IL census with a son, Emery L.[eonard] Straub, but she died as Marjorie V. Creech in San Diego, CA. Since Emery in LaGrange died after she did, only divorce could explain this.
Could someone please check a newspaper for an obituary for me? Leonard was the only son mentioned in his mother's obit in Quincy, but he may have had half siblings from his father.
