Obituary of Mrs John (ROWE) PENROSE
Grit, Millersburg, Elkhart Co, IN, Thur 18 May 1899, p 5:2
Mrs John PENROSE died at her late home in Millersburg at 10 o'clock Tuesday evening after a long illness from tuberculosis and a complication of other diseases, resulting from an attack of the grip about 2 years ago. Deceased was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Milton ROWE and was born in Eden Valley, Lagrange county, 25 Oct 1869, being therefore 29 years, 6 months and 11 days of age.
She was united in marriage 16 Feb 1891, to John PENROSE, who with 2 children and other relatives survive her. The funeral will be held at the Reformed church today at 1 o'clock. Burial at Eden Chapel cemetery. The bereaved husband and little children have the tender sympathy of all in the hour of affliction.
