Who was the father of William (Horace) BISHOP b ca 1802 in NY; m Almira WYBORN 27 JAN 1830 in Manlius, Onondaga, NY?
Around 1833 William and Almira moved to northern Indiana (Marshall county) and remained there about twenty years before relocating to Howard Center/Cresco, Howard, IA. Children: Horace b 1831; m. Mary STOVER; Albert H., b 1838; m . Maria Jane EVANS; Lucy Helen, b 1840; m Orrin Virgil WILCOX; Charles, b. 1845; m. (unknown) and Harriet, b 1846; m. William S. MAJOR.
Anyone have any information on this family? Was William (1880 US Census names him as Horace)the same William b. 21 NOV 1802 in Pompey, Onondaga, NY to Hooper BISHOP and Elizabeth (Betsey) BUTLER? Hooper lived with his son, Levi in Novi, Oakland, MI.
What ever happened to son Charles who enlisted in Company G, 29th Infantry, Indiana Regiment on 27 AUG 1861? He received a disability discharge on 13 MAR 1863.
