The reference you refer to was submitted by Sally Keith Gamble, my second cousin. We have been working together on this project for several years. I have contacted every genealogist I could locate in Noble, Morgan and Washington Counties of Ohio. The Keith Book Project, by Larry Keith, records many of these families. The probable families point to The Lewis Keith Family or The Peter Keith Family but I have been unable to make that certain connection.

The questions I have at this point are: 1) Perhaps his mother and father died when he was very young and he was raised by an aunt, uncle, or a kind neighbor. 2) Is it possible he was not born to a Keith, but for some reason took the Keith name ? I just don't know.
