I am helping a relative in Sweden track his American relatives. One family we are searching is that of Johan Danielsson, born 14 March 1835 in Gällaryd, Jönköpings län, Småland, Sweden. He came to America about 1869. I do not know his wife's name but he had at least 2 sons:
1. Frank Danielson, born 20 August 1866 died 1 January 1946. He married Charlotte Swanson in La Porte County on 30 December 1889. Their children were: Mayme (b. 1892), Grace (b. 1894), Raymond Earl (b. 1897) and Harvey Edwin (b. 1899).
2. Swan August Danielson, born 10 Feb 1865 died 9 Dec 1954. He apparently married Emma K. Nicholson and their children were John Harry (b. 1889), Albert E. (b. 1891), Ella (b. 1894) and Walter Nicholas (b. 1896).
An early (I believe 1921) map of Springfield Township shows Frank Danielson as owning Valley View Dairy Farm and Swan A. Danielson as owning the adjoining Lye Creek Valley Farm. Both farms were north of the Chicago, Lakeshore & South Bend railway tracks.
If anyone is familiar with these families, please let me know. We also have much information on the family in Sweden and are willing to share that information.
