My family is from Lawrence County, Indiana and Clark County, Illinois. The following is a brief History of My Line and some of its branches that I have on the Terrells.
The uncle of my 3rd Great Grandfather Andrew Jackson Terrell, born 1 April 1824, died 23 Mar 1911 in Cleone, Parker Township, Clark County, Illinois and buried in the Connelly Cemetery, Parker Township, Clark County, Illinois. He has married to Amanda Linda Darnall. His grandparents were:
William W. Terrell, Sr. was born about 1773, d. before 1820 in Lawrence County, Indiana (Question on the location of death of William). Have been told that William Terrell was the son of Timothy Terrell and Elizabeth Maiden Name Unknown and Timothy was the son of John Terrell and Elizabeth Harrison. But at this time I have no prove.
Wife: Nancy A. (Maiden Name Unknown) Terrell, born between 1765-1777 in Ashe or Wilkes County, North Carolina. She died about 1792 in Lawrence County, Indiana (?). (Question on the location of death of Nancy)
The uncle of my 3rd Great Grandfather Andrew Jackson Terrell.
Son: William W. Terrell, Jr., born about 1802 in Virginia, died 26 Sep 1869 in Clark County, Illinois and buried in the Rupp Cemetery, Martinsville, Clark County, Illinois
Wife: Nancy Connerley, born about 1802-1803, died 30 Dec 1874 in Clark County, Illinois and buried in the Rupp Cemetery, Martinsville, Clark County, Illinois
They had the following children that I have record of:
Margaret E. died about 1872 in Martinsville, Clark County, Illinois and buried in the Rupp Cemetery, Martinsville, Clark County, Illinois
Matthias Terrell, born about 1837 (on Census)
Comfort Terrell, born Nov 1837 in Auburn Township, Clark County, Illinois, died 17 Mar 1918 in Marshall, Clark County, Illinois. She married John Huey on 2 Jan 1860 in Clark County, Illinois.
Mary Jane Terrell, born about 1840 in Illinois, died 21 Oct 1873 in Clark County, Illinois and buried in the Rupp Cemetery, Martinsville, Clark County, Illinois.
William Henry Harrison Terrell as born in Jan 1843 in Illinois. He married Lydia A. Whitson on 26 Nov 1862 in Clark County, Illinois.
Martin Terrell (s/o J & L), born Oct 1860, died 15 Dec 1860 in Martinsville, Clark County, Illinois and buried in the Rupp Cemetery, Martinsville, Clark County, Illinois.
Lydia A. Terrell (d/o ), born about May June 1875, died 19 Feb 1876 in Martinsville, Clark County, Illinois and buried in the Rupp Cemetery, Martinsville, Clark County, Illinois.
The Aunt of my 3rd Great Grandfather Andrew Jackson Terrell.
Aunt: Sarah "Sallie" Elizabeth Terrell, born 25 Aug 1792 in Ashe or Wilkes County, North Carolina Or Tennessee (?), d. 7 Apr 1840 in Westfield, Parker Township, Clark County, Illinois and buried in the Connelly Cemetery, Parker Township, Clark County, Illinois. Her husband was Josiah Connelly.
