CARTHAGE ? Robert A. Jackson, 69, Carthage, died Oct. 10, 2004, at Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle after an extended illness.

He retired in 1986 from **Delco Remy in Anderson after 31 years of employment.

Survivors include four children, Steve (wife, Sandra) Jackson, Debra Jackson, Treesa (husband, Keith) Jarvis and James (wife, Sherri) Jackson; three stepchildren, Lonnie Merritt, Mark Merritt and Cindy Murphy; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Trees ?Jack? (wife, Annetta) Jackson; four nieces; and a nephew.

His wife, Ruby Mae (Goble) Jackson, died in 2003.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel, with the Rev. Gene Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Carthage Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
