I can give you some information at least, but I'm not sure if I can make the connection to the Forrester marriage, although I suspect you're correct.

The Beth Ferguson who was buried in Oddfellows Cemetery in 1952 is indeed the Beth Ferguson who was the daughter of Charles and Lillie Ferguson of Alexandria. Actually, her name at the time of her death was Beth Warnell. She married a man named Edward Warnell in Feb. 1947 in Madison County. However, it's likely it was a second marriage as one of the children who survived her--a daughter Carolyn-- was 8 at the time of her death and couldn't have been a product of the Warnell marriage.

Beth Warnell was murdered by her husband (from whom she was estranged) on Dec. 4, 1952. She was probably buried under the name Ferguson because of the murder. If you would like, I can provide you with the newspaper coverage of the event. I can also probably get a copy of the marriage license application for her second marriage, which should give some information about an earlier marriage.

I hope this is not someone you were close to. It's always awful to learn about events like this one. If there's any other information I can get you, please let me know.
