Thanks for your reply... according to the obituary my grandfathers name was John Harold DeWitt,and they called hime Bill. and was born and died as I listed in the previous post. It listed 2 brothers Herb and Dan DeWitt. And I only know the last two marriage names 1st ?? second my grandmother Mary Elizabeth Starns DeWitt and last Virginia Coffin DeWitt. But yes I have been going through different years of census, ect.., and there isnt a whole lot of information on the internet about Oblong, Il. But thanks again for your suggestions!! :)
