Hi Marsha: it was interesting to find that George, Kenneth and Christie were all musicians. A younger brother to George H. Hahm was Fred Hamm (1880-1932) who played trumpet with the Benson Band in Chicago, IL during the 1920's. Fred Hamm wrote the song Bye Bye Blues in 1925.

For some reason George H. Hahm changed the spelling of the last name from Hamm to Hahm around the turn of the century. It looks to me like "Hahm" might have been the spelling of the last name in Germany, before the family came to the States. The rest of the family continued to spell the last name "Hamm".

Thanks again for all the info. Leon
