The Cathcart name has a small geneological footprint in Ireland: only 403 B hits between 1700 and 1920. Most were in northern Ireland (Ulster). I had 0 hits when I added the forename "Ginnet."

The Cathcart name in Ireland is likely Scots-Irish. Even the forenames are not typically Irish (many Alexanders and not a single Patrick).

Lots of Scots-Irish immigrated to America in the late 17th and early 18th century. S. Carolina gave away free land to encourage settlement in the early 18th cent. and perhaps before. Suggest you look at colonial rcds for land grants. The name Cathcart is rare enough that you won't get many false positives.
