According to family information, my great grandmother's sister, died of complications from child birth in a town called Elgin, Indiana.
I've tried Googling and haven't found anything. I did find another posting on a Genforum site that mentioned Elgin, Indiana.
Can someone tell me if there is or was a town, township, or county in Indiana, named Elgin?
The baby, Hazel Roger was born Aug. 1895 and the mother's name was Alta Rogers, supposedly in Indiana.
I'd appreciate any help or insite on where to look. I haven't started looking in Illinois, yet.
