Edward L. Spear-Susan A. unknown-etc

Thank you very much for your help. I had found the first U.S. Civil War Soldier Records and Profile with the spelling Speere, but not the second one you found. I also had not found the 1850 census record for Edward Spear and family, and will check into more to see if it is my Edward Spear. I have come across the census record for Susan Knapp, and havn't been able to prove this is or isn't my Susan. The marriage record for Edward and Susan Marr, I'm thinking could be the Susan Knapp, from the 1860 census record you mentioned, since I'm almost certain that Susan was married before she married Edward. I believe this because, I had come across a obituary very late one night,(and between the late hour and the excitement of finding it, I forgot to record or save the information :( but the obituary if I recall correctly stated that Edward adopted Susan's daughter Isadora, Indiana prior to moving to Kansas. I've tried searching for the obituary again, but have been able to find it, plus I can't remember if it was an obituary was for Edward L. Spear or Isadora (aka Isa) Spear/Carter.
And finally, the 1900 census for Susan Spear, the record lists her for the wrong family. She belongs to the family below her, Seth Sutterlin, Lois Sutterlin, and George Sutterlin/ Booth. Susan is Lois' grandmother. Lois is the only surving child of Isadora, Susan's only daughter. Also, Lois only had one child George. I've noticed smaller families are harder to trace, sometimes.
Thank you again for the help :)
