No relation...

Delila Dill found in:
Marriage Index: IL, IN, 1790-1850
Spouse: John Heastland
Marriage Date: Dec 29, 1842
Location: Fountain Co., Indiana
Source: Family History Library, Salt Lake City, UT
Microfilm: 1321634 - 1321635

I also found info on an Elvira Dill, m. William Dollarhide in Fountain County Aug 30, 1843
which makes me wonder if she could have been a sister to your Delila.
1860 she and William in Mahaska Co IA (aka Alvira)

Now, a couple offamily tree sites (subscription) show her parents (Elvira's) to be Samuel Dill & Rachel Cain
Birth time frame for Samuel appears to be abt 1785, but locations vary from Colorado, England and Ireland. Some info show him to be son of David Dill and Margaret Campbell

children of Samuel & Rachel are only shown as:
Elvira b. abt 1827, D. Clatsop, OR
Abijah 1826 Indiana, d. MO (some info shows him born KY)

Delilah/Delila Dill shown born abt 1822 Indiana, no parentage shown

1840 census for Fountain County shows me the closest match to Samuel Dill:
Samuel Diall (no access to this image to see if it would match the above Samuel)

1830
Samuel Dill Fountain, Indiana (he's the only Dill there)

1820 he's in Wayne County, IN

Were I you, I think I would investigate this Samuel Dill/Rachel Cain out and see if your Delila ties into them. I would check out deeds in Fountain County because he died in Indiana according to family trees and if he/they owned property, when it transferred out of the family clear title could only be given if all heirs (many times with spouses) signed off. This could have been done under 1 deed or multiple deeds. keep an eye open for grantors to be not only under surnames, but as "estate of" or "heirs of" or similar. some info shows he died around 1840's.

Good Luck!
