I am searching for the marriage of Francis Portis Goddard and Nancy. What is her maiden name?? Francis was born Oct 19, 1797 and is the son of Joseph Goddard and Frances Glassock. Francis and Nancy had 4 children. All born in Fleming co. Ky. But the marriage is not there. Was he staying with relatives when he met Nancy?? By 1840 the family had moved to Illinois. And Nancy was dead. Where is she buried. Francis married again. Margaret Groves, Nov 18, 1824 in Fleming Co. Ky.They had 12 children. We know Francis was related to the Goddards in Parke Co. Indiana because 4 of his children were born there between 1826-1831. We beleive that his uncles Jesse Goddard and Abbott Goddard were in Parke County. Another name assocciated is the Sheldens. Who are they? My Great Grandmother said they were related. How? Anyone out there working in this area.
