RBeda Coffey, My g grandfather was William Wayne Painter. He was from Parke County. His brothers and sister were Washington Newton, Lancaster, James Riley, Mary Ann and Jackson. All were born in Parke County. Their parents were Harrison R. Painter and Elizabeth (Davis) Painter. Harrison's parents were William P. Painter and Elizabeth (Newton) Painter. They were raised in Botetourt County, Virginia. William P. was born in Botetourt County, VA. Elizabeth was born in Cullpepper County, Virginia. William P had many brothers and sisters. One was a John Painter. He was older then William P.Painter. Their father was John Painter. He is buried in Botetourt County. William P. Painter and his wife Elizabeth are buried in Parke County, Indiana. Harrison was born in Kentucky. Harrison and his wife Elizabeth had several children. I will have to look up the children of Harrison and Elizabeth. The family came from Germany in 1750. David Painter
