Martha,
Elizabeth Davis was born North Carolina. She first married Harrison R. Painter, October 9, 1934, Parke County, Indiana. Their children were Washington Newton Painter, William Wayne Painter(My great grandfather), Lancaster Painter, Mary Ann Painter, James Riley Painter and Jackson Painter. I have the 1850 census. I would like her parents names, her brothers and sisters, and any data on the Davis family. She was in a Will from North Carolina. I do not have the particulars on the will. She might have remarried in the 1850's after her husband William died. I am not sure of that. I think their son Jackson was farmed out to a family in the 1850's. I have bits and pieces. Hope I am not too late in answering.
