I cannot find any Goldwait anywhere either. I tried the Pike Co. GenWeb site with no luck. I even put it in my search box and came up with nothing. I have a 1995 Indiana Counties Map book and checked in there...no luck. I also have an Illustrated Historical Atlas of Indiana with county maps in it from 1876 and couldn't find it. So, either your grandfather was incorrect or we just haven't stumbled upon the right info yet. You could try calling the Petersburg Library and asking someone in the genealogy section or perhaps call the Pike Co. Historical Society. Sorry, I couldn't help you!
