Rick,
Goldwait was a settlement about 1/2 mile east of Winslow, In. To find it, one would follow the county road north of the Southern Railroad tracks southeast of Winslow. Follow that road until the road crosses the railroad tracks. That is the area known in the 1800's and early 1900's as Goldwait. I was born close to this area and in the 1970's my husband farmed some fields close to Goldwait. Maybe I will have the opportunity to talk to some of the older citizens still living around Winslow who can shed more light on Goldwait. Hope this helps a little.
