I am seeking information on Isaac F. Wood(b.@ 1805 d.Oct. 1862) who was married to Jimpsey Horn in NC. She died in 1842 and is buried in a cemetery near Abra. They had a number of children one being William Daniel Wood b. late 1820's died 1907. They moved to Randolph Co. in the early 1830's. Isaac represented Randolph Co. in the Legislature as a Jackson Democrat. He ran for the statewide office of Secretary of State but was defeated. He moved from NC to IN with a group of Quakers who opposed slavery. Isaac did not opposed slavery but sold the few slave his father-in-law, William Horn, gave his wife when they married when they moved to IN. In 1850 he and his children moved to Leon Co. Texas where Isaac Wood was a prominent in that county. His son, W. D. Wood represented Leon Co. in the Texas House and Senate. A number of members of the Horn family moved to Randolph County with Wood and his family.
