I would like to have information on Marriage Record for Shepherd or Shephard around 1836 or early. My Great Great Grandfather John Q.A. Shepherd was born 1836 in Ind. but on the 1850 census he is in Iowa in the household of Amos and Elizabeth Emory/Embree. I'm not sure Elizabeth is his Mother. I have found a marriage record for Amos and Elizabeth in Putman county 1840. Thanks for any help. dale
