Seeking information about Blaney Palmer Jr, son of Blaney Palmer who came to America from Ireland with his brother John. Blaney Palmer married Elizabeth Alma Reed - they had Blaney Palmer JR. who married Flora Belle Hess, said to be the daughter of David McBride Hess, in Ripley County IN.
I am reaching a stumbling block in regard to the following:
* David McBride Hess's family - his parents or siblings. Anyone have any research or leads to share?
* It is said that Blaney JR. and Flora Belle Hess later divorced and she relocated to Marion County (Indianapolis) area and later remarried. Someone posted elsewhere online that Blaney JR. married two more times in Ripley County, IN but did not mention names of the brides or dates of these marriages. With the following information, about him possibly moving to IL, this has raised curiousity on if he moved to IL area about the time his two children were placed in an orphanage in IL. Flora Belle's later marriage mentioning is unclear on if fact or rumor.
* Found in the Illinois death index that a Blaney Palmer died in 1929 in Alton IL area - is this Blaney Palmer JR?
* Blaney JR. and Flora Belle said to have had two children, Coy J. born around 1892 and Elsie A. born around 1894/1895 in Ripley County IN but both later placed in an orphanage in Alton IL.
* I can find some information about Coy J. in terms of one marriage, although he is known to have married a second time shortly after the death of his first wife. His second wife was a daughter of Martin T. Craddock and Saluda Patterson of IL. I seem to recall family stories that he and his second wife lived breifly in Muncie IN before living out their lives in Daviess County IN. Coy J reportedly died in the mid or late 1930s. Elsie is almost as elusive as her mother in my research so far but I seem to recall, although my memory may be incorrect, through family stories that in her adult years (at one time) she also lived in the Muncie IN area and had married.
Main reason for asking is:
* with both Blaney JR. and Flora rumored to have married after divorcing - this has the question on if either/both had any additional children ... which would give Coy J and Elsie A stepsiblings.
* Hoping to find more information, family stories, and possibly photographs about this branch of the family to/following the marriage of Blaney JR and Flora Hess.
