My Great Grandparents: Fanny HALL m. James DURGAN.
James parents: *Edward DURGAN & Leah CHICHESTER.
( family history has it, they never married)
Edward's parents: Richard DURGAN & Ellen DOYLE from Ireland.
*Edward DURGAN is listed in the June 1900 Wayne Twp. Tippecanoe Co. Indiana Census.
He was born in VERMONT in May 1834.
This has been a brickwall for my brother and me.
Anyone esle researching, please email us.
We need to verify if Edward & Leah never married.
It is a strong possibilty that Leah CHICHSTER is related to a Levi CHICHESTER in the same census, as Edward DURGAN is living 3 doors down in 1900.
