I have information on Ingels from a Dr. Nettie Pritchett. She lists George Ingels whose wife was Mary Ramey. Their children were: Joseph, Nellie (Crooks), James, Sarah, Olive M. 1821 William Dixon (Meigs Co.), Anson, George, Polly, and Jesse.

Elsewhere on this forum, Ruth Ann Frey reports that a Samuel Ingels was the son of Joseph Ingels and Nancy Crook. The daughter Nellie above, married to a Crooks, could be a clue. Brothers and sisters often married into the same family.

Jesse Thomas was born 7-14-1831 and had three wives, Anna Northup, Sarah Grant, and Mary Ann Waddell and had a total of 13 children, one of whom was Berton H. Ingels, my grandfather, by Mary Waddell.

I am trying to determine who was George Ingels' father.
