Can anyone tell me how this name is usually pronounced? Does it tend to have more than one way to pronounce it?
I have Joshua, William and James INGLIS who are found in 1774 Fincastle Co., VA (later Montgomery Co., VA) who have mostly spelled their names INGLISH or English on other records. I understand that the Scottish Surname means Englishman. Any help with this is very appreciated. thanks, Lynda
