Hi Bonnie
I noticed a couple of similarities in names and locations of your Inglis family to mine and wondered if you had ever come across mine in your research or think they may be connected somehow.
I have only just started looking in to this branch of the family so don't really know much yet.
Here's what I have;
Andrew Inglis married Margaret May 17th Jan 1853 in Prestonpans.
On the IGI the only children listed are;
6/12/1862 George
8/7/1860 Andrew
30/7/1865 Charles
16/9/1873 Charles
16/6/1867 Jessie
My gg grandfather James Inglis is not listed, but I know from his death certificate in 1922 in Morrisonshaven Prestonpans that his parents were also Andrew Inglis and margaret May, thus making him the eldest child (I think),He was born in 1854 in Prestonpans.He was a coal miner.
James Inglis married Christina Marshall, their daughter Elizabeth Marshall Inglis born 1890 in Prestonpans was my ggrandmother.
Do you think there is any connection?
Debra Arif
