I think you may find that Ann Taylor married Joseph Logie Drimmie (Drummie) in 1862 and took baby John with her. He became a step son so may have been adopted.

I think John may be my Grandfather but am still researching this.

There is a Drimmie website if you search for it. On the geocites page I think. Run a Google.
