I have traced a William Inglis as a part of my family tree, he is the cousin of my grt, grt, grt grandmother. He was born in 1863 in Lesmahagow and on the 1891 census is visiting his aunt and cousins (one being my grt, grt, grt grandmother) and is listed as a Tailor. I don't have his parents names but I believe his mother's maiden name is possibly Stobo.

He died 6 June 1897 aged only 34 years old and was buried with family members (mostly Stobo's, I believe he is the grandson of John Stobo born 1803).

I don't know if this is one of your Stobo family or not but I thought I would give you the details just in case.
