I can't promise too much but I do know that my greatx4 grandfather was Henry John Inkpen from Pimperne, Dorset (a thatcher) and that his sister Louisa b 26 August 1812 in Sturminster Newton married Job Trowbridge, b 1817 of Gobson Common, Dorset UK. I am in touch with somebody who is descended from them. As surnames were often used as middle names it seems quite likely that you are linked to the numerous Sturminster Newton-based Inkpens. Mine left SN around 1825 but only moved a little bit outside to the Blandford area. They ran quite a few lovely inns, many of which still exist.
Do get back in touch. I'll see what I can find out.
