I believe that your "C. H. Bennett" may have been James Henry Bennett, born 29 Sep 1898 in Ohio (probably Sandusky County), died October 1970 in Sand Springs, Tulsa County, Oklahoma. He married Amanda "Mandy" Ann Inks 15 Oct 1923.
James' father (probably your great-grandfather) was Clarence Arthur Bennett, born 26 Oct 1872 in Michigan, son of Henry Bennet(t) and Ellen E. Brunthaver.James' mother was Mary Etta (?) who was born about 1877 in Ohio. She was usually called "Etta."I haven't been able to discover her maiden name.Clarence and Etta moved to Oklahoma some time after 1904 but before 1918.
James H. Bennett had a sister Irene, born about 1904 in Ohio.I don't know what happened to her.
Clarence Arthur Bennett had one brother, George Henry Bennett b. 19 Feb 1877, whose wife was "Bessie."He had one sister, Fannie Arvilla Bennett, who was my husband's grandmother. Most of this family lived in and around Sandusky County, Ohio and later moved to Toledo, which is in Lucas County.
I've noticed that this family sometimes spells the name "Bennet" rather than "Bennett."
I don't have any information about whether or not Amanda Ann Inks was Cherokee Indian.I do have more information concerning the BRUNTHAVER ancestry if you are interested in going back that far.
