Nice to hear from you John.I would like to know about Judith Jennings, Obadiah's wife. Any info, sources and dates would be appreciated.

My line from Obadiah is his daughter Polly (Moses sister) married Dr. Simeon Power.

You have a connection to the Lindsley family not I. Mary Seeley Inscho grandfather, Colonel Eleazer Lindsley, was a Rev. War Veteran. He owned a grist mill and tannery, as well as a farm, near Morristown,NJ. He had entertained Washington and Lafayette in his home, and one of his most prized possessions was a ring presented to him by Lafayette and was buried with it.Lindsley wanted the town which included Painted Post NY but it was already purshased, so he bought the town adjacent to the south. He brought about 40 people including 7 slaves, to settle the land in June 1790. Members of his family accompanied him. 2 sons & 3 son-in-laws, one being Captain John Seelye. The town organized in 1838, was named Lindley after him. Whether the change was deliberate or spelling error has been lost.

I have some questions concerning the 2 James Inschos and maybe you can help.
James Inscho born. ca. 1800, son of Obadiah & Judith. Was this one married to Emmeline Colvin?
or was
James Byron Inscho, b. 12 Nov 1828; d. ?, son of Moses & Mary Seelye Inscho the one married to Emmeline Colvin.
Moses died in 1848 and James B. is listed in the 1850, Deerfield, Tioga PA census - 21 years old and living with his mother Mary & brother Wm E. & family. He is then listed also in the 1850 Fed. Lawrenceville Tioga Co. census, age 22, living with his Uncle Obadiah (Dyer) Inscho and his family along with Obadiah's (Dyer) sister Rachael.

There is a James Inscho, d. 1854 age 54 buried in the Powers Cemetery.

Do you have any dates when Emmeline Colvin was born? Do you have the birth date of your Gfather James Washington Inscho Lovell? Did James & Emmeline go to CA and did he drown in a river? Then did Emmeline marry James Lovell?

Lots of questions.
