Tallent's from County Wicklow and County Antrim
Posted by: Mike Tallent (ID *****6140) Date: August 26, 2011 at 00:22:09
  of 1059

Information required on Edward Tallent, James Tallent, Mary Tallent (nee English), Ellen Burns (see below) and their families (parents, grand-parents, where they lived etc):

Edward Tallent was batised on the 5th July 1846 at Red-Bog, County Wicklow. His parents were James Tallent and Mary Tallent (nee English) from Manchester, England.

Edward married Ellen Burns (from Enniskillen County Fermanagh)on 9th July 1884 in Belfast, County Antrim. Ellen Burns parents were Francis Burns and Ann Tracey.

I have information on Edward and Ellen after they moved to England and appeared in the 1901 Census but not before apart from their marriage details and his baptism details. I have no details on James Tallent and Mary Tallent (from Manchester) who I believe originated from Ireland.

Information also required on Tallent's from Ireland prior to the above persons. Tallent could also be spelt Tallant, Talent or Talant, they all originate from the same source in Ireland from approx 1641 (Patrick Tallant).
