I am searching for any information on my great-grandfather:
Benjamin Johnston
Born: January 23, 1857 in either Ireland(County Derry - rumour has it, Magherafelt area) or in Canada
Married: Eliza Leonard in 1897 in Ontario (parents, John Leonard and Sarah Black)
Lived in Innisfil, Ontario till he passed in 1936
Had 3 children:
Laurena b. 1898? - married Darcy Lennox
John Robert b. 1900 - married Wilda Carr (my grandfather)
James b. 1909 - bachelor, no descendents
I don't have a middle name, any information on siblings, or parents. It was said he came from Ireland to Innisfil, Ontario although I cannot be sure of his birthplace.
Any information would be great.
