Thomas Meagher/Maher of Wexford 19th Century
Posted by: James Boucher (ID *****1568) Date: January 03, 2013 at 12:16:54
  of 1059

Thomas Meagher/Maher (1810-1876) of Wexford may be the father of my great-grandfather John Maher b. 1857 in Clonard, County Meath, and emigrated to Newfoundland where he married Annie Connors. Thomas might be the son of Waterford Mayor Thomas Meagher's brother Henry, uncle of the famous Thomas Francis. They are descended from Thomas Meagher of Tipperary, who became a merchant in Newfoundland and established a business in Waterford, Ireland.

I would appreciate any help you can provide, positive or negative, as I seek ancestral information about John, Annie.
