Sir Brian na Murtha O'Rourke c. 1592 DNA tests?

I am trying to find either descendants or someone that knows the descendants of Sir Brian O'Rourke of Northern Ireland.

He was one of the more colorful characters in Ireland during the 1500's.

Apparently, he was bitterly opposed to the English and their laws being imposed on the Irish population.

It is said that he harbored Spanish sailors that were stranded after the sinking of the Armada in 1588. This type of action displeased the crown (Elizabeth) to no end.

Eventually he was extradited back to England and tried and sentenced to be hung (and then drawn and quartered).

I am trying to find more history on his descendants in hopes that someone can connect with his line.

It has been said that the name of McGoldrick/Golden is a sept from this line of O'Rourkes.
