I have been researching Ironmongers off and on for some time. I noticed you mentioned an Ironmonger from Stafforshire England. I also have an Ironmonger from Staffordshire.
Joseph and his wife arrived in New Orleans around 1850 with Joseph (b. 1841, Staffordshire), Ben, John, and Mary Ann. I have an obituary from the newspaper that he ran that details his life in the states.
I was wondering if there might be some connection.
It has been quite a long time since I have done much on this and have run into many dead ends.
