Sorry my response hasn't contained what I know of Christina. In the 1881 census, Christina was living in Liverpool with her parents, Robert Wilson and Mary Jane (nee Kelly) and her brother, Robert. Freebmd.com has a Christina Wilson marriage to Robert Ironside, Mar. 1899, in Prescot, Lanc., which includes St. Helen's. (My grandfather, Arthur John Sullivan, had cousins in St Helens and claimed Robert Wilson and Christina Wilson as his brother and sister.) My initial posting was misleading as I meant that in the 1920's my mother knew of Christina having had two children, not necessarily when they were born or what their names were. Sorry! So your grandmother fits in quite nicely. The only information I have on Robert Ironside was that he was the "boss" of Caledonian Pottery by Rutherglen Bridge. I am trying to find the exact relationship between my grandfather and Christina, his sister. He claimed his father was a baker and his mother was a Kelly. Robert Wilson (Snr) was a baker and Mary was a Kelly. In the 1881 census I believe her (Mary's) father, John Kelly, was visiting. There is also some very intriguing research of this family being undertaken - if your family is the same one, please contact me and I'll let you know what the investigation is.
Jenny
