we have found that ADAM IRONSIDE was in Barlinnie, Glasgow on a sentence of 6 months for "knife slitting" from the prison record itself. He was released on 16 May 1891.

He married CATHERINE NOAKES on 25 Dec 1888 at parish church in Fulham - records now indexed on Ancestry as part of London registers.

We have found no trace of either of them after this date - 1901 or 1911 census draw a blank.

May have emmigrated? No positive trace on any ship lists or immigration records so far.
