Steve anyone with access to 1850 census can go to St. Clair Co. Al. andSee for themselves Samuel Isaacs and Lucy. at the bottom of Family is "ELISHA" plain as day born S.C.
In 1840 census "Elisha" is in the St. Clair Census as head of household and I can go on and on everything is doccumented and on the net. (Thank's hard Workers)!
Sarah, Daughter of Sarah and was Samuel's sister's name also. She Married Mr. joiner and moved to Tx. Where in 1860 Census there is "ELISHA" living there with them. Her marriage is listed Saint Clair Co Also along with several others of the family???? I know they can be wrong but "not that many" of them!
Personally I take permenant records any day over what is simply written.
I can not say about the Tennessee Isaacs because the line does join Alabama for a ways and These Isaacks were in the North eastern part of the State. There were 2 Sarah's listed as married to Samuels also.
