I received the following email from a researcher:
The Isbell name is Spanish!That might not sit well with some, but I got on a course when I first got my computer and found the isbell name as far back as 0064 in Spain.Now , I dont know how I did that and haven't found it again yet!! but i will!there are several spellings of the name, but it all began in Spain, the Isbells migrated to France and England and other places, but they did not start in those places!my mother's maiden name was Isbell and I'm quite proud of the Spanish heritage.Most of the tracable Isbells in this country came from england and France to America.I hope you will be able to find the listing Ifound when I first began to try.What I would give if I
