I am looking for relatives of my maternal grandmother. She was born Margaret Isbister. Fathers name unknown, mother was a Fair, Feirs, spelling unknown. Her known siblings were Henrietta, Elizabeth and William. Margaret was the only child to marry (Andrew Pearson). Apparently the habit of remaining single is quite rampant through the Isbister clan I am decended from. Nettie, Betty and Will all went to Winnipeg in the early 1900s. Nettie was a nurse, Betty had a hat shop and Will (?). A cousin told me she thought he was a little "slow" and stayed home and kept house for his sisters.
My father told me he thought the family originally came from the Orkney's.
Does any of this ring any bells with anyone?
