Pamela, we are looking for a different Anne Isbister born about the same time. Mine married Samuel Laughton in 1850 on both S.Ronaldsay and on Kirkwall & St Ola. Have you come accross her in your research? Magnus Isbister had a daughter Ann in 1825 - mother Marjery Isbister and another Ann in 1827 - no mother noted. It was not uncommon for parents to repeat a name where a child had died so it could be that both these Anns died and they used the name again in 1830.
