I just stumbled on to this forum and hope to learn some Isler history. My dad, Roland Robert Isler and his brother, Jerome and sister Nancy were born in Detroit, MI. Their father, Howard Isler passed away when my dad was 14 and as a result we have very little info to go on. If any one has knowlege of our branch of the family tree let me know.
Coincidently as a hobby I love to forge steel! I make decorative iron work, swords, shields, hunting knives and switchblades. Every piece gets stamped with the Isler name. It must be genetic. :-)
